Pameran karya Chitra ini terinspirasi oleh cerita dongeng jaman kecil dahulu, Timun Mas. Kisah Mbok Srintil yang mendapatkan anak perempuan cantik dari sebuah timun yang berwarna emas, hasil pemberian dari Buto Ijo. Hayo, masih pada inget nggak ceritanya?
Para pengunjung yang datang disambut langsung dengan terowongan yang terbuat dari rumbai-rumbai kain katun tersebut. Seperti masuk ke lorong waktu, membawa para pengunjung tenggelam ke dalam cerita Timun Mas ini, karena tidak hanya instalasi saja yang apik, namun juga iringan musik pada pameran tersebut sangat mendukung. Para pengunjung diajak untuk menonton dongeng animasi Timun Mas tersebut di tengah ruangan, dilengkapi dengan banyak bean bag yang bisa digunakan siapa saja yang datang untuk melihat dongeng, istirahat, atau pun untuk berfoto-foto ria mengumpulkan stock konten sosial media.
Nggak cukup sampai situ aja, selesai melihat dongeng Timun Mas yang ternyata pengisi suaranya adalah Dian Sastro ini, para pengunjung diajak ke lorong selanjutnya yang berisi banyak cermin, juga beberapa fotografi hasil dari pemotretan kain-kain koleksi Sejauh Mata Memandang tersebut. Pada lorong terakhir membawa para pengunjung untuk melihat koleksi kain-kain juga aksesoris dari karya Chitra ini.
Koleksi Chitra tersebut menawarkan tekstil khas Indonesia, berupa kain, aksesoris, juga selop dengan motif nusantara. Dalam karyanya ini, Chitra ingin ikut mengangkat kain tradisional ke mata anak muda. Kain-kain tersebut dihadirkan dengan bahan pewarna yang tidak membahayakan lingkungan serta dibuat oleh para pengrajin di beberapa kota seperti Sragen, Pekalongan, Solo, dan Jakarta. Pada koleksinya tersebut, Chitra menggunakan beberapa bahan kain seperti katun sari, katun foal, hingga cupro yang merupakan kain dari bahan organik.
Pemilihan warna pada koleksi ini pun menggunakan warna-warna ceria agar dapat dipadukan dengan busana masa kini yang kebanyakan berwarna abu-abu, hitam, dan putih. Jika melihat secara rinci, motif yang digunakan untuk koleksi tersebut terinspirasi dari bekal yang dibawa oleh Timun Mas ketika dikejar oleh sang Buto Ijo, yaitu benih timun, duri, garam, serta terasi dengan warna-warna cerah seperti kuning kunyit, hijau dan biru.
Dalam proses pengerjaan kain-kain tersebut, Chitra di bantu oleh perkumpulan Ibu Rumah Tangga yang berasal dari Rusun Pesakih dan Rusun Marunda Jakarta. Kain-kain tersebut handmade. Motif-motif pada kain ini beragam, ada yang dibuat dengan tulis, cat, sablon, hingga bordir tangan. Dalam pameran ini, Chitra menggandeng beberapa seniman seperti Davy Linggar untuk seni instalasi, Tulus dan Petra Sihombing untuk musik dan lagu Timun Mas, serta Dian Sastrowardoyo yang mengisi narasi animasi yang sama.
